Are you a Winner in Wholesale?
May saw The Hub host its latest industry breakfast briefing at Brakes Head Office in London’s Covent Garden. The ‘Winning in Wholesale’ event focussed on the issues and expectations of wholesalers looking to develop smarter relationships with their suppliers. Attended by an exclusive cohort of brand owners across marketing and commercial functions, the session delivered some thought-provoking content.
A fantastic line-up of guest speakers included Coral Rose, Country Range Group managing director who shared her wealth of experience gained from both manufacturer to wholesaler senior roles; Cathy Amos, senior sector development & marketing manager at Brakes along with Marshall Kingston, senior brand manager at Tetley formed a panel Q&A session, demonstrating how their collaborative approach to channel marketing has delivered genuine added-value to customers within the care sector; James Bielby, chief executive of the FWD closed the morning’s session with his engaging insight and predictions for the wholesale sector.
In addition, during the breakfast briefing The Hub presented its commissioned category report – based on a series of independently conducted interviews with many of the leading UK wholesalers.
“As The Specialist Foodservice and retail, PR and Trade-Marketing Agency, we strive to ensure our thinking and approach is aligned to current marketing environments and stakeholder behaviour, in real time. So we commissioned this research to test just that – it makes for a fascinating read, affirming our beliefs but yet surprising, in that some brands still aren’t working as smart as they could be with their route to market partners”, comments Rebecca Riches, founder and managing director, The Hub.
Finally we would like to thank our expert guest speakers; Coral, Cathy, Marshall and James, for their time and contribution, as well as our gratitude to Brakes, for generously allowing us to use their premises.
